Tim Duncan Announce Retirement Ending His 19 Year Illustrious NBA Career

On July 11, 2016 San Antonio Spurs future Hall of Famer forward/center Tim Duncan announce his retirement in the NBA after playing 19 years.

Duncan aged 40, play his entire career in San Antonio, he was the number 1 pick in 1997-1998 NBA Season and was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs. He eventually won the Rookie of the Year that year.


In 1997-1998 NBA Season, Tim Duncan and David Robinson form the “Twin Towers” that dominated the paint and dub as the best frontcourts in the league since then they never missed the playoffs until now.

In 1999, the Spurs won their first title in NBA, where Tim Duncan was name the Finals MVP, since then the Spurs has always been a title contender every season until day.

After the retirement of the “Admiral” David Robinson, Tim Duncan, became the franchise player of the team, together with Coach Greg Popovich they were built a new era for the franchise.

In 2004 – 2016, “The Big Three” was form, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, they dominated the NBA. Together, they won a total of four NBA Titles, they won on 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014. They are the most dominated team in the west that time.

In 2015-2016, the final season of Tim Duncan, shows a great change in his career, his playing time was reduced and as he get older the “Big Fundamental” is not the same person as he used to be?
